In the academe, prevention of plagiarism is highly important. As students continue to practice such act, teachers should not just watch them and tolerate them. Nowadays, students are slowly incorporating the act of plagiarism in almost everything they do, from doing assignments and class reports to doing research paper and thesis. With the concept and practice of plagiarism, students learn to do things the easy way instead of doing these with effort, time, patience and individuality. Students find it more convenient to copy and paste the words of others rather than having their own sets of beliefs published. In short, students want to be free from the hassle of hard work. Plagiarism remains to be an unclear idea and the definition of such is vague and the range to which it extends is not explicit yet to most. And prevention of this crime is necessary to establish to the people the causes and the forms of plagiarism.
